Good to hear your news Martha. Glad Uni is all that you want it to be, and that the bullying is being dealt with.

Business is going well, though a big change in my life beckons fairly soon.

I see that the British National Party came 4th in the Glasgow North East By-Election yesterday.

The Conservative Party narrowly beat them into 3rd place ensuring they lost their deposit...just.

While the seat was won convincingly by Willie Bain and the Labour Party, the BNP whacked all other left wing parties including Tommy Sheridan's Solidarity, the Scottish Socialist Party, Socialist Labour and the Greens.

I can't believe the lieges in my home town of Glasgow could actually go and vote for such a mob.

FFS!

aw, big e-hugs, I know exactly where you are coming from. Hope things ease up for you and yours, and the school gets their finger out their collective. The best you can do is keep up your little one's self esteem, and encourage her to believe in herself and not in the bullies.

BULLYING IN PRIMARY SCHOOL

I have to vent my anger somewhere rather than at the kids aged 9 who have over the last month bullied my young daughter to the point where I am at the end of my tether regads policies within apparentley ' anti-bullying' schools, that do not acknowledge that actually bullying does occur within the class, playground etc of therir school- now I think that some of the professionals forget that bullying is not only physical BUT takes the form mental bullying , to the point that children as young as 9 are no longer eating, sleeping or ineracting as they normally would do!

I think it's a disgrace that brownie points are provided to certian schools due to minimal bullying when in fact bullying does occur but is not processed!

Bullying at this rate not only impacts on the child in question but the family as a whole - so much so that a continuous strain develops and as a family you try to piece everything together again to make your childs life a happy and safe one to be in.

thankyou for reading - life is rather nuts when your loved ones are being hurt and you feel you have no control over the outcome.

I don't get it, did they think the general public would support them on this as we're all a bunch of drunken bums? And appealing to us in this way will obviously be remembered at the polls, right? They just haven't got a grip of reality.

I am sure everyone has heard of the Professor Nutt? He's the government Chief Scientific adviser who got sacked by Alan Johnston because he said that drugs like cannabis and cocaine were less dangerous than alcohol and tobacco.

He didn't make this up on a whim. He looked at the research and based his conclusions on the evidence.

That's what science does. And the government didn't like it!

Imagine what science would be like if it progressed only on what folk wanted!

Why don't we have a competition and guess where this might end up!

Who will start the thread?

proof that goldfish actually have longer memory than possibly thought, perhaps?

I think stress certainly has a direct relation to how you cope with illness, though.
