This may have been posted before. I got some good books about the Environment recently from this site www.bookmooch.com/Basically you can trade books, give away books or get books from other members. I think this is a good site, but then again I am a dweeb It is cheaper than buying I saw this one on the news this morning. I listen to a lot of podcasts while I am out running on my ipod. This will be a really useful site for finding my favorites such as sports, politics and general news events. www.podcastpickle.com/I am sure there will be Psychology podcasts or other Social Science related casts if you search for them

Quick update on previous post, The previous offer is direct from Microsoft, but I have now found an even better deal, only catch is that the software is not boxed - anyway at 31.99 (I have no pound sign on my keyboard) again it is a steal! www.exisoftware.co.uk Word 2007

Or if you wish to save yourself 31.99 you could always download the open source equivalent Open Office which is actually superior to Microsoft Word in every way. Of course sometimes there are compatibility problems opening and saving .doc files (when they get complicated), so you just have to make up your own mind at the end of the day. As far as functionality is concerned Open Office does everything Word does. It doesn't nag you to death either. Best of all it's free of all the nasty Digital Rights Management that Microsoft's been putting in their software these days... social science student's might actually want to give this one a moment's thought - Under Microsoft 2007 and Vista, Microsoft can stop your copy of Microsoft Office from working at any time by revoking the license key. (for example say a pirate cloned a key and that key happened to be the one you've got, they would certainly deactivate your key). The scary part is, once microsoft revoke that key, it's not just your Office that stops working; every file that had ever been created with that copy of Office would become unusable. That is to say that if in the unlikely event Microsoft revoked your key, every file ever made would become unusable even on other copies of Word on other computers. I'm not scaremongering either, it's in their technical specification along with a multitude of other sins. Just something to think about before you get yourself locked into Microsoft and their Orwellian systems. The biggest benefit of Open Office, and the reason I prefer it is because there is no way on earth I'm putting my documents in the hands of Microsoft. As far as I'm concerned what's on my computer is my own, and I don't like it when companies start becoming invasive. www.openoffice.org/

Actually, it might be an idea to start a thread on opensource programs that are readily available and usually are superior to the shop bought microsoft in every other way. Is there interest in links to free, legal downloads of great software?
