Online flash cards! Having written a bunch of flash cards this week its stuck me that online ones would be considerable better, mostly because I wrote some of these when I was tired and my handwriting / spelling is shocking whilst others are of little use. I spent ten minutes online earlier looking for some and found a few i.e. www.flashcardmachine.comits ok but there are no existing cards which are applicable to SQA, I can make card there but obviously I’d be better off making them here! Its probably too late to implement flash cards here in time for the higher exam but it might be an idea for the future. Meph

Great idea Meph. I downloaded, and joined us to this last night. No time to do anything with it yet.
Any chance of bunging an example of this here, so folk can see the benefit?
Dont reinvent the wheel. Look at our Psychoanalytic Mind Map, for example, and adapt.
That would be helpful. And keep you busy if your quiet in work!!

These are a really good idea Meph. Had a look at your excellent prototypes and will bear this in mind as we are moving along. . Have you tried our Psychological Hang Man yet? www.gerardkeegan.co.uk/resource/funteaching.htmIts also a prototype but again sonmething to be worked up in the future.

Ideal mepth,
Untill we implement it, students can still use your flash cards, they will probably find them very usefull. Shouldn't we post the link in the general board?

You might also try www.studystack.com. They have 1000s of flashcard sets already entered by other users. Data entered as flashcards can also be viewed as a matching game, hangman game, word search puzzle and crossword puzzle. The flashcards can also be exported to PDAs, cell phones, or iPods.
