Awwwwww, Missing your wee weblog Gerry, it is like another day in the life of the troops when I read it. I have persuaded my friend in Wales to send me hers daily, anything happy or sad that each day brings to her.She is having panic attacks mostly due to her marriage of 26 years ending and proberly her wee head if full of anxiety on what the future may hold for her. So, we both thought the way to share her day with someone is to send it to me and vise versa as I feel so hopeless that she is so far away from me. It seems to be working and we end up writing a best seller to each other ..lolololol..cant be a bad thing if it helps her. Hope all is well with you and your family ,and enjoying your summer break Polly

Good to hear from you Polly! The Weblog has been quiet of late, apart from a wee thing about the tragic George Best, mainly due to the fact that I'm on holiday. I don't move far during my hols in case I bump into students or staff (!), and consequently there isn't a huge amount to write about. But there will be once the College year starts up again.
The PC has also been poorly. Its on its last legs, and I'm getting a new one today. I've managed to do a bit of writimg for the site and have completed some sections for Research Methods. How sad is that when you are on holiday, but in my defence the weather has been crap.
All's well here. Caroline has a resit along with 60 of her colleagues on her course! Bad exam, bad teaching in my opinion. She'll pass it the next time, but for her its a bit of a downer. The wean is enjoying herself being 13. Spent yesterday putting on makeup and these grotesque false nails, and then went into town to get herself yet another mobile phone. With my money! Says she'll help me in the garden to make up for it, but strangely enough I'm still waiting her assistance! .
The baskets are blooming. They are magnificent, and I haven't forgotten to water or feed them regularly.

Absolutely tragic, even the newsreader was struggling to report on the death ofthe children in gym. I was in tears myself, there we faces how will this affect those wee bundle of innocence children in later life?
I hate to think. They were the first image I had this morning when I awoke, the wee boy who forgot his name and the name of even his parents. So sad.
On another note, I have a wee moan to do..Why do you keep referring to KC as I do hope they pick up the vibe in the Last Chance Saloon of FE.
I do not think that help students physiclogically to get stuck in,the first thing that comes to mind do we all say to ourselves..was I rubbish before, was I thick before, do you think I didnt care before , have I wasted my time etc. Everyone is there for numerous amount of reasons Gerry, so I wouldnt say it was there last chance.

What I mean is I hope folk see whatever course they do as an opportunity.
They want to grab it, and run with it as far as they can.
Sure a lot of people do very well, but unfortunately the reality of the situation is that many others waste this opportunity. That breaks my heart.

Yes, that it sad , just wanted to point out some are there through circumstances of the past, some to better thereselves, some wanting a new direction in life. Some just for to expand there knowledge. I know you are the very one that would go the extra mile for any student., which you have done for me .It was just worrying me a wee bit Gerry, no offense btw. Polly x
